South Park: Reel Chaos

Rate it!

South Park: Reel Chaos is the sequel to Net Entertainment’s popular South Park slot. This game contains just as many features as its predecessor, although it is less crude. There’s certainly an element of the insane about it, though, as Butters’ Professor Chaos aims to reign supreme over the quiet little mountain town.

South Park: Reel Chaos features 5 reels and 20 paylines of gameplay, with players able to find all of their favourite South Park characters dressed up as superheroes, aiming to bring down Professor Chaos and restore some element of normality to South Park.

Available stakes

The wagering menu bar is pretty much the same as the original South Park slot. In the bottom right hand corner of the screen, players can choose coin values of 0.01 up to 0.50 in total. They will also be able to select betting levels of 1 up to 10 coins per line. Players hoping for cheap spins can get away with bets worth just 0.20 per spin. The costliest stake in this game is just 100.00 a pop.

Although it is possible to win far more than the top paying icon suggests, you will need to strike it lucky in one of the various special features to do so. Professor Chaos is therefore your best shot of landing a big win, and lining up 5 such symbols on any payline can see you pocket a non-progressive win worth 1,000x your total bet.

Special features

There are many special features appearing in South Park: Reel Chaos. Firstly, let’s start with the most basic one – the wild. Wild symbols can appear on any reel in the slot, and can substitute for all symbols barring bonus icons.

Most of the other special features are randomly triggered in the game. Cartman’s Stacked Wilds is one example. When this feature is triggered, Cartman will dash across the reels whilst trying to catch General Disarray. In his trail, he’ll leave behind stacked wilds.

Kenny’s Multiplier bonus is triggered randomly, too. When this feature is activated, Kenny and Professor Chaos will fight, and players will pocket multipliers of between 3x and 5x.

If Stan’s Multiplying Re-spin feature is randomly triggered after a no-win spin, players will get a free spin with progressive multipliers rising from 2x up to 10x for every re-spin granted.

Finally, the last randomly triggered feature is Kyle’s Overlay Wilds. Kyle will clear the reels of nasty evil minions which appear on the screen. After doing so, the minions will leave behind between 3 and 5 overlaying wilds.

Bonus Game

The Mintberry Crunch Epic Bonus Spins feature is the game’s main bonus round. Players will need to land 3 bonus symbols on the first, third and fifth reels to trigger it. In this epic spins bonus, Mintberry Crunch will fight up to 4 enemies, will multipliers of up to 4x added for each defeated enemy. Defeat Professor Chaos and you can win up to 650,000 coins. This is far more than the standard 5-symbol winning combination appearing on a payline.

Mobile version

There can be no question about South Park: Reel Chaos being available for mobile players. This game can be found on NetEnt’s Touch platform, and is identical in every way to the online game. Players will be able to enjoy all the same features, although play on the move.

Is South Park: Reel Chaos better than the original South Park slot? That depends on who you ask. Personally, I don’t think so. It has fewer special features (even though there are still a lot available in this one), and its wins are harder to land. That being said, it is totally different to its predecessor, so perhaps a comparison of the two slots isn’t really just.
